PRINCETON, Minn. (WCCO) – A temporary lock down was issued at two Princeton schools early Friday afternoon as police were searching for a suspect in an apparent bank robbery, authorities said.

Police said they received a report of a bank robbery at about 12:10 p.m. Friday at the People's Bank of Commerce in Princeton. Authorities said it was robbed by a white adult female who was wearing a black winter jacket, black hat and blue jeans at the time of the robbery.

It is unknown if the woman left the bank with any money, but she did leave the bank heading west.

The suspect is described as 5 feet, 3 inches to 5 feet, 6 inches tall with a thin build. Her face was partially covered during the robbery.

As authorities searched the area for the suspect, officials called for a temporary lockdown at Princeton High School and South Elementary School.

Anyone with information about the incident or who might be able to identify the suspect is asked to call Princeton Police at (763) 389-4879.
