Make Sure To Protect Your Perennials

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — With such a mild winter, you wouldn’t think we’d have to worry about protecting outdoor plants, but our lack of snow could be causing them harm.

Those plants that come back every spring, Perennials, do not do well when their roots get too cold.

As Lauren Casey shows us in the video above, you may want to provide some insulation to protect your plants — right now.

    I do not cut my plants back in the Fall so hope some of the foliage will protect them.

    Also watch your south facing beds, they are micro gardens and the ground temp and air temp can be about 5 to 10 higher in temp on a sunny day.
