New Lowry Bridge Still On Track To Reopen In Summer
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The project to rebuild the Lowry Avenue Bridge in Minneapolis is one step closer to being done.
This morning crews lifted the last segment of arches into place. The keystone segment is 40 feet long and weighs 73,000 pounds.
Authorities say the Lowry Avenue Bridge is still on schedule to be finished sometime this summer.
The bridge was closed in 2008 because of structural issues and was demolished a year later.
