Police Make Arrests In BB Gun Shooting Spree

BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. (WCCO) -- Brooklyn Park Police are made four arrests in a series of BB gun crime sprees that have been happening in the city over the past 15 days.

Police said numerous cars have had their windows shot out and they received 20 additional reports of vehicles damaged just in the last weekend.

Officers said they located a suspicious vehicle at 8000 block of Aldrich Ave N. on Sunday night. They stopped it discovered that the people in the car had just shot out car windows just before the traffic stop.

Four adults were arrested and further investigations determined they were responsible for 58 other incidents in the city. While communicating with other police departments, it is believed the suspects were also part of the same crimes that happened in Blaine, Ham Lake, Champlin, Brooklyn Center, and St. Paul bringing the total number close to 100 vehicles.

The suspects are facing charges of damage to property. They are expected to be charged soon.
