State Patrol Looking For Suspect In High Speed Chase

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The Minnesota State Patrol is looking for a suspect Saturday morning after a driver led them on a high speed chase in the northwest metro.

The incident happened around midnight in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 94 near Monticello. Authorities said the driver reached speeds as high as 140 miles per hour and exited the interstate near Highway 25.

State Patrol officials say the suspect then ditched the car, which officers later found. The suspect is still on the loose, but authorities say there is no danger to the public.

The State Patrol is still investigating what led up to the high speed chase.
