1 Dies, 3 Hurt After Snowmobiles Break Through Ice In Wis.
BEAVER DAM, Wis. (AP) — One person has died and five others had to be rescued when their snowmobiles broke through the ice on Beaver Dam Lake and plunged into the water.
The Dodge County Sheriff's Department says the incident happened Saturday evening.
A total of six people were pulled from the water. Four of them were taken to the hospital with injuries, but one did not survive.
The victims are all from the Beaver Dam area and ranged in age from teens to 40.
The names of the victims have not been released.
