MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – It was a beautiful day to spend some time outside on the ice. Unfortunately, we’ll have fewer places to do that.
The City of Minneapolis has been struggling to keep its rinks open. The warmer winter has melted the rinks, making them unsafe to use.
The city has more than 30 rinks open right now, but starting Tuesday, the Park Board will close nearly all of them.
Only four will remain open: Bohanon, Lake of the Isles, McRae and Van Cleve.
But those could also close if it gets too warm.
