MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a 21-year-old man from Redby who escaped police custody on Tuesday.
The man, Jason Lee King, was being transported from the Beltrami County Jail to a medical appointment at the Sanford Bemidji Medical Center. Police said he escaped custody on foot and was heading east and north of the hospital. King was being held on armed robbery charges in connection with a robbery at a Newby’s store last December.
