Charges: Man Stabbed Woman After Domestic Dispute

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 39-year-old Columbia Heights man is accused of stabbing a woman multiple times after a domestic dispute earlier this week, according to charges filed Wednesday by the Anoka County Attorney's Office.

Antonio Robinson was charged with attempted second-degree murder and first-degree assault in connection with the Sunday incident.

According to a complaint, Columbia Heights Police were called to a report of a stabbing at about 11:03 p.m. Sunday on the 3700 block of Tyler Street NE. When authorities arrived, they found a 37-year-old woman was found bleeding heavily from multiple stab wounds.

Police believe the stabbing happened after a domestic dispute in the area. Robinson fled the scene but was found a short time later at 45th Avenue and Central Avenue, where he was taken into custody. He is currently in the Anoka County Jail on $300,000 bail.

If convicted, Robinson could face up to up to 20 years per charge.
