Weather Blog: More Like Winter

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The steering winds are beginning to send some actual precipitation our way.  It has been a tame winter to date, with 18 inches of snow and only three nights below zero here in the Twin Cities.

The storm systems are starting to line up with our first one arriving Thursday morning. The latest data is pushing that system farther south, meaning we could escape with a few flurries.  I still think there will be some accumulating snow along parts of Interstate 90. Southwestern Minnesota has the best chance of seeing some wet, slushy snow.

Temperatures will cool a bit over the next few days.  Not below zero cold, but we will be below average Friday into next week.

As far as the snow, you can expect another storm system to roll through on Sunday with the third one showing up next Tuesday into Wednesday.
