Price Check At The Pump: Feb. 23, 2012
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- It's time for WCCO's Daily Price Check on the price of a gallon of gas around the metro and the state. Please call or text us at 81807 to tell us what you're paying at the pump this morning. We do this every day to track rising gas prices and help you find the cheapest option. They're expected to go way up this spring and we're already seeing some hikes around town.
The cheapest prices around the Twin Cities were found at the Costco in Maple Grove where regular is running $3.29 a gallon according to Twincitiesgasprices.com. As for the stations where you don't need to become a member, the SuperAmerica and the Holiday Station in St. Michael are the cheapest at $3.35 a gallon.
Susie from Bemidji sent a text to 81807 – she says it's $3.47 at the Holiday on Paul Bunyan Drive. At the Pilot on Clearwater Road in St. Cloud, Len just filled up for $3.45 a gallon. Paul called us during the break. He made a stop at a SuperAmerica in Edina. He says he paid $3.51 and may switch to a cheaper option soon or begin carpooling because it's starting to get pricey again.
