MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Two men died after the car they were in rolled over early Saturday morning near Austin, Minn., authorities said.

The Mower County Sheriff’s Office said the rollover happened just before 2 a.m. on County Road 29, just north of 23rd Avenue Southeast. When authorities arrived at the scene, they found three men in the car – one was already dead, the two others were injured.

The two injured were taken to the Mayo Clinic, where one died.

Speed was a factor in the rollover, police said.

Mayo clinic?……why would they take them to a “clinic” and not a Rochester Hospital….such as St. Mary’s or Methodist?

    1. Relax... says:

The Mayo Clinic in Rochester is a part of St. Mary’s and Methodist Hospital. It is a hospital, not a “clinic.”

maybe it depends on the injuries

I believe they take accident victims to the nearest medical facility first to receive treatment and then transfer them to other facilities if it is needed. And if you check the news report from the actual Rochester area its a totally different story. http://www.kttc.com/story/17017225/two-killed-in-violent-crash-south-of-austin
