ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — The MinnesotaTimberwolves’ improvement on the court is coming with a nice little side benefit. The franchise is well-represented at this weekend’s All-Star festivities in Orlando, Fla.

Ricky Rubio and Derrick Williams kicked things off on Friday night by playing in the Rising Stars game. Williams is also competing in the slam dunk contest on Saturday night. The No. 2 overall draft pick has played sporadically for the Timberwolves this season. He says he hopes the event will serve as a springboard for him into the second half of the year.

Kevin Love was named to his second straight All-Star game. He will come off the bench for the Western Conference in the game on Sunday.

Love is also participating in the three-point shootout on Saturday night.
