Update: 183 Crashes, More Than 300 Spin-Outs In MN

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The wet, sloppy mess outside has caused several accidents across the state, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Lt. Eric Roeske, of the Minnesota State Patrol, said from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. there were 183 crashes in Minnesota, with 20 reporting injuries, though none were serious or fatal. Across the state, there were 312 vehicle spin-outs or vehicles off the road. Five vehicles jackknifed statewide.

Of those crashes, 123 accidents occurred in the metro area, with 10 reporting injuries, 183 vehicles went off the road and two vehicle jackknifed.

Roeske reported 84 crashes statewide Tuesday night (ending at 9 p.m.) with 19 involving injuries. More than 100 cars went off the road Tuesday night, after the storm began.
