DNR Reservation Site Shut Down After Crashing
ST. PAUL (WCCO) -- A new system to reserve your campsite in Minnesota has been shut down.
The Department of Natural Resources' new online system launched on Thursday and crashed after just 60 reservations were made.
The DNR says the site will be down indefinitely until they can figure out how to expand its capacity.
Officials expected to take 4,500 reservations yesterday, but they had 4,500 visits in the first hour alone.
The DNR hopes to have a timetable for bringing the system back up sometime next week.
