MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Minneapolis Police say media attention and help from the public helped locate a 26-year-old woman who went missing on Sunday.
The woman, identified as Danielle Marie Vara, was in a automobile accident a number of years ago and now suffers a traumatic brain injury. She lives at home with her parents and seldom ventures far due to short-term memory problems.
Sgt. William Palmer said a social worker notified them of a possible location for Vara, and she was located and returned home.
Palmer expressed appreciation for the help finding Vara.
