Police: Woman Jumps From Window After Gas Incident

BLAINE (WCCO) -- Police say two women had to escape a house – with one jumping from a 2nd floor window – after a man threw gas on them in Blaine, Minn.

On Feb. 20, 2012, police were assisting a motorist at 109th and Fillmore Street in Blaine when they saw a woman jump from the window of a home. A second woman also ran from the front of the home. Both were screaming for help.

The woman who jumped from the window later spoke to police, saying the man was the father of her child. She said Duley repeatedly threatened to kill her by throwing gas on her. She ran from Duley after he allegedly threw gas on her. As she was running, she saw him throw gas on another female victim.

When she saw police outside, she jumped out of the window to escape.

Police identified that man as 46-year-old John Fitzgerald Duley.

Duley has been charged with two counts of second-degree assault and terroristic threats. If convicted, he could spend up to 19 years in prison.
