The MLB made it official today. They are expanding the playoffs to 10 teams by adding another wild card team in each league. The two wild card teams will play each in a one game play off to get to the divisional series.

The Twins love playing #163. After last year, I think every MLB fan likes watching a #163. This guarantees fans will essentially get two each season, and hopefully it will be exciting. But we can always root for two teams to tie for that second wild card spot.

The Twins play their first Spring game tomorrow against the Rays. One of Sunday’s split squad games will be televised on MLB Network at 7:00 p.m. On Monday FSN will broadcast Twins vs. Red Sox starting at 6:05 p.m.

It begins.
