MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 24-year-old woman has died from injuries suffered in a western Wisconsin crash, authorities said.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) said Kelly Kolenda, of Chetek, died at the Barron Memorial Hospital following the crash, which happened Wednesday.
The other person involved in the crash, 19-year-old John Henderson, suffered non-life threatening injuries. He was treated at Barron Memorial Hospital.
The crash happened at 6 p.m. Wednesday on US 8 near Cameron, Wis., WisDOT said. However, authorities have not said what caused the crash.
Both Kolenda and Henderson were wearing seat belts. Alcohol is not a factor in the crash, WisDOT said.
The incident is still under investigation.
