Police: Woman Killed In St. Paul, Suspect Identified

ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) – A 32-year-old woman is dead after a murder Saturday morning in St. Paul, according to police.

Authorities were called to the scene at about 6 a.m. on the 800 block of West Minnehaha Avenue near Victoria Street. When they got to the area, they found a woman who was unresponsive.

Police also located a person of interest at the scene who was attempting to leave the area in a cab when authorities arrived. The man has been taken into custody and questioned in the woman's death.

Authorities identified the suspect Saturday afternoon as 26-year-old Brent Lanier Lynch. The victim's name won't be released until she can be identified by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner.

Police are still investigating what led up to the woman's death and if the two had been in a relationship. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call St. Paul Police.
