St. Paul Murder Victim ID'd, Suspect In Custody

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities have identified the 32-year-old woman who was the victim of a homicide Saturday in St. Paul.

The St. Paul Police Department said Carolyn Leete died around 6 a.m. in a house on the 800 block of West Minnehaha Avenue. When police responded to the scene, they found Leete unresponsive.

The Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office will release the cause of Leete's death after its investigation.

Twenty-six-year-old Brent Lynch, of St. Paul, is in custody. Police said they arrested him after receiving information about someone matching his description at the crime scene. When police found him, he appeared to be fleeing in a taxi cab.

Lynch, who had been in a relationship with Leete, is being held in the Ramsey County Detention Center, police said.
