MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – One woman was hospitalized after a one-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon near Alexandria, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

The accident happened at about 1:31 p.m. just south of State Highway 27 in Solem Township. When authorities got to the scene, a vehicle with one occupant was traveling northbound when her car left the road, went into a ditch and rolled several times, authorities said.

The woman was transported to a local hospital before being airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center to be treated for her injuries. At last check, the woman was in stable condition. Authorities said the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
