ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Alex Johnson notched two goals and two assists and David Zevnik made 20 saves as second-seeded St. Thomas Academy won its second consecutive Class A boys state hockey title with a 5-1 victory over No. 1 seed Hermantown at Xcel Energy Center on Saturday.

Matt Perry, Peter Krieger and Austin Sattler also scored for the Cadets (26-5-0), who ended the season on a 15-game winning streak.

Jared Kolquist scored the lone goal for Hermantown (30-1-0), which was vying for the school’s first undefeated season. The Hawks also lost the 2010 championship game to St. Thomas Academy and have now finished as runner-up three straight years.
