Authorities Investigating Suspicious Death Near Rochester

ROCHESTER, Minn. (WCCO) – The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a suspicious death near Rochester that was reported Tuesday night.

Authorities received a report of a body found at about 5:45 p.m. Tuesday near a quarry in southeastern Olmsted County near Rochester. A group of men who were target shooting at a range in the area spotted the body of an adult male.

The Olmsted County Medical Examiner’s Office pulled the body from the scene at about 11 a.m. Wednesday. The identity of the victim has not yet been released and the cause of death has not yet been determined.

The death is only being labeled as “suspicious” at this time.
