'U Of M' Launches Online Ojibwe-English Dictionary
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A new tool to preserve the culture of the Ojibwe people is now online.
The University of Minnesota's American Indian Studies department launched an online Ojibwe-English dictionary website.
The Ojibwe People's Dictionary has 30,000 words and it's continuing to grow.
There are also videos on the website, where you can hear native Ojibwe speakers.
The goal of the website is to support the history of the language and encourage new speakers.
