Authorities ID Body Found In Rochester Quarry
ROCHESTER, Minn. (WCCO) – Authorities have identified the body of a man found in a quarry earlier this week near Rochester and are still calling his death suspicious.
The Olmsted County Medical Examiner identified the man Thursday as 52-year-old Randy David Fortier. He was reported as a missing person on Dec. 19, 2011. A group of men who were at a target shooting range south and east of Rochester spotted his body on Tuesday.
The medical examiner reported that his cause of death has not yet been determined but that there are no obvious signs of foul play. The incident is still, however, being investigated as a suspicious death.
The incident is still under investigation. Anyone with information on what might have happened to Fortier is asked to call the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office at (507) 328-6757.
