MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police arrested a 31-year-old Ironton woman after she led police on a chase Friday and struck three squad cars while three children – ages 2, 3 and 7 — were passengers in her truck.

The State Patrol said Rebecca Lueck, who was driving a 2010 GMC Sierra, fled a squad car after it tried to pull her over for speeding near the intersection of southbound Highway 10 and County Road 33 near St. Cloud.

Lueck eluded officers and drove south to Clear Lake, where officers placed stop sticks to deflate her tires.

Near Clear Lake, two squad cars attempted blocking maneuvers on Lueck, but she broke through each, inflicting minor damage on the first car and moderate damage on the second. A third squad car attempted a pin maneuver and sustained minor damage, the State Patrol said.

Authorities stopped Lueck in Clear Lake, and no one suffered injuries during the incident, the State Patrol said.

Lueck is currently in the Benton County Jail. She is not cooperating, authorities said.

    Well said Brian.

Well, she did a good job trashing a $35-40K pickup, not to mention all of the charges and lawyers costs that she will incur. Good job Troopers!

  3. Duuuuuur says:

The cops were idiots. So lets endanger the kids in the pickup and other citizens on the road all for some stupid speeding ticket (and no, what you find out AFTER she is stopped and arrested has NO bearing on the initial reason for the stop and chase). Moron cops. Lucky someone did not get hurt or die.

I love how idiots like you give opinions without knowing the entire story. CCO is very good at only giving parts of stories that they like, and leaving out important pieces that matter. For all you know, the woman had a warrant for something terrible and the police had to stop her because she is a danger to society. You have no idea, so keep your stupid opinions to yourself please.

      1. Karla says:

She did not have a warrant or anything of the such. There was a 20 mile chase as she did not pull over for speeding. I agree she did put my nephew and nieces in danger but she was not a “danger to society”. That comment was rather harsh I feel. Yes we were lucky that no one did get hurt in this tragic situation. Sometimes people’s mental situation at times can make you make very poor choices.

She is an idiot and a danger to society. Not merely one or the other. I don’t give a rat’s a55 about her “mental situation” Karla. I want that woman in prison for a decade, and I hope she fell down a few flights of stairs during her arrest. She put hundreds of lives at risk for NOTHING, and you defend her. You are as stupid as she is and should be in the cell next to her.

karlia are you for real. she endangerd her children and this is ok? they should lock you up with her.

  4. Cheers says:

A follow up here ‘cco be nice. Like to know the reason for fleeing…and whether they used a branding iron and put a big IDIOT across her forehead. If not I am willing to

Good job troopers. Way to keep the public safe and shut down the pursuit. You also kept 3 kids safe who could have very easily died at the hands of their mother based on her behavior.
Duuuuur you are a true idiot, you have no idea what you are talking about.
