MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio is set to undergo surgery to reconstruct his left knee’s torn ACL, the team announced Friday.
The surgery will take place on March 21 and be performed by Dr. Richard Steadman at the Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colo.
Rubio, who ranks third in the NBA for steals and fifth for assists, suffered the career-stalling injury in the final 16 seconds during the game against the Los Angeles Lakers on March 9.
