MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Police arrested two people in connection to a report of shots fired in Inver Grove Heights, Minn.

According to officials, a call came in around 4:53 a.m. Sunday that shots were being fired in the area of 77th Street and River Road.

Officers responded and saw a parked vehicle. They approached the vehicle and at least one gun shot was fired from the inside of the car.

The vehicle then left the scene at a high rate of speed.

A gun was located and recovered from the scene.

Police say a 39-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman are in custody. The vehicle is currently at the Inver Grove Heights Police Department for processing.
