St. Paul Police Investigate Apparent Homicide

ST. PAUL (WCCO) — St. Paul Police are investigating an apparent homicide that happened overnight.

Officials said the incident occurred just before 2 a.m. on the 700 block of Lawson Avenue East in St. Paul.

The victim was a 38-year-old St. Paul man. He was found unresponsive on the front porch.

Police say they do not have a motive or information about a suspect at this time.

The victim name was not immediately released, and police didn’t say how they believe the man died, however the front porch showed signs of a struggle.

Neighbors said they didn’t hear anything, but have seen people coming and going at different times of the day.

“I’m in shock and sad. We all kind of stick together out here, the good folks, look out for one another,” said a neighbor. “It scares you to the core. There are kids all around here. There’s a school 20 feet away.”

The Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office will be providing an identification and cause of death.
