ROBBINSDALE, Minn. (WCCO) – A list of America’s top 100 hospitals is out today and Minnesota is home to three of them, including North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.

North Memorial, which is listed as one of the top 50 hospitals, made the list by HealthGrades for receiving the “Distinguished Hospital Award for Clinical Excellence” for the most consecutive years.

It was rated in the top five percent of the nation’s hospitals.

Other Minnesota hospitals on the list include Fairview Southdale in Edina and St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth, which are both in the top 100.

Nearby in neighboring Wisconsin, Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse and Eau Claire also made the list.

Gunderson Lutheran isn’t in Eau Claire. Mayo Health Systems and Sacred Heart are the two hospitals there.

And so what happenrf to Rochester?

  • Brenda

Wrong. Only North Memorial is in the Top 50. The others mentioned are in the Top 100…

This list seems sketch… No mention of Johns Hopkins, Cleveland Clinic, Mayo Clinic, Mass Gen…

Agree 100% seriously how did Mayo Clinic get a nod in the state? They’re saying went from one of the top five in the country to out of the top 100? Umm something is VERY fishy here….

  • DJS

I am proud to work for St. Luke’s Hospital!

  • not sure

Umm Fairview Southdale in Edina? Seriously? I’ve been there would never go back it’s dirty and employees are gross AND it costs money just to park and go in for anything. I know they are best of the best for heart attacks and cardiac issues. But everything else…go somewhere else!
