Charges: Drunk Woman Stalked Ex-Boyfriend Repeatedly

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 34-year-old Burnsville woman is accused of stalking her ex-boyfriend outside his home while she was drunk and belligerent, according to charges filed Tuesday in Dakota County Court.

Kristina Shea Peterson was charged with felony counts of stalking and violation of domestic abuse no contact order in connection with the incident.

According to a complaint, Burnsville Police were called to a residence at about 6:33 p.m. on March 14 on a report that a man was outside his residence when he spotted his ex-girlfriend walking towards him. The man said the woman, later identified as Peterson, had walked into his house so he left the area to avoid a confrontation.

A witness at the scene told Peterson to leave, but she refused and started acting belligerent. Officers walked into the man's residence and noticed that Peterson was sitting on a recliner in the living room.

Officers issued Peterson a preliminary breath test, which showed she had a blood alcohol content of more than .40, according to the complaint. Court documents show she has been convicted of several violations of a domestic abuse no contact order, all of which are connected to the man.

In one incident last May, Peterson had a friend drive her to the ex-boyfriend's house. When he arrived home, he found them both sitting in the living room. Peterson still had a key to the residence and let herself in, the complaint states.

The man had also been hospitalized from an incident last April where Peterson threw glass at his head from three feet away. According to court documents, she has been ordered not to have contact of any kind with the man since November of 2010.

Peterson was also convicted of domestic assault in Hennepin County back in 2007. If convicted on the current charges, she faces up to 15 years in prison and $30,000 fine.
