We’re looking like communism more and more every day. 90% of the people who use the futures markets in businesses whose trades are directly tied to the cost of fuel; i.e. airlines, shipping, (sea and land), large manufacturers who use petrochemicals in the production process and many more. This is so they can lock in their costs and have a reasonable estimate of what they can sell their product for.. The easy and ignorant response is speculators and you don’t have a clue who is using the futures
