Erin Henderson To Return To Vikings On 1-Year Deal

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Erin Henderson is returning to the Minnesota Vikings.

The 25-year-old linebacker has agreed to terms on a one-year deal to stay with the team that signed him as a rookie free agent in 2008. His agent group tweeted the agreement on Friday.

Henderson played very well last season in his first chance as a regular starter, emerging as one of the team's most versatile defenders. Playing alongside his brother E.J., he had 91 tackles and two forced fumbles in 15 games.

The Vikings wanted all along to bring Erin Henderson back, but waited for the free agent market to settle down before completing the deal. The delay appeared to irk Henderson, who tweeted earlier this week that he "wasn't even asking for big money."
