Augustus, Moore, Whalen Named To Team USA

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The United States Olympic women's basketball team is going to have a Minnesota flavor.

Seimone Augustus, Maya Moore and Lindsay Whalen were named to the team on Friday. They will compete for the gold medal this summer at the London Games.

Augustus won gold with Team USA at Beijing in 2008.

Moore and Whalen played together on the 2010 team that won the world championship. Both will be making their first appearances at the Olympics.

The three Lynx are more than any other WNBA team. The Chicago Sky have two players on the 11-person team.
