Pedestrian Hit By Car In Golden Valley

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A pedestrian is in the hospital after being hit by a vehicle Saturday night.

The Golden Valley Police Department and the Minnesota State Patrol are investigating the incident, which occurred around 10 p.m. Saturday night at the intersection of Wayzata Boulevard and Florida Avenue South in Golden Valley, Minn.

The pedestrian was transported to North Memorial Hospital via ambulance.

        I based my answer on the video above, and instances I witness quite frequently. It appears the woman was hit in the crosswalk shown in front of the officers. The pedestrian has the right of way, and it appears that the driver didn’t yield.

    Sad story all around, I know the man well. Give him time and he will bounce back with SHOES in hand. Again sad proof we All need to read our traffic signs and be aware of When, Where, and What we are driving. This should have been avoided. So now his friends wait thru a difficult summer.
