St. Paul Man Sentenced To 36 Months In Prison For Bank Fraud

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A United States District Court judge sentenced a 41-year-old St. Paul man to 36 months in prison after he pleaded guilty to being involved in a bank fraud scheme, the Justice Department said.

Judge Richard H. Kyle sentenced Riccardo Box on one count of bank fraud conspiracy and one count of aggravated identity theft.

In a plea agreement, Box admitted that from March 2008 to November 2009 he used information he gained from customers at the financial services company where he worked. He took customer's personal information and supplied it to his co-conspirators, who used it get credit cards and make purchases.

The Justice Department said that 10 victims had their information stolen, resulting in losses of $184,459.
