Twins Cities Named 3rd Greenest Place In The U.S.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Twin Cities has just been named the third greenest place in the nation.

Travel and Leisure Magazine did the rankings and pointed out that there are 46 miles of city bikeways and 84 miles of off-street paths between Minneapolis and St. Paul.

It also mentioned the Red Stag Supper Club, which was the first restaurant in the country illuminated entirely by LED lights, and the bike-to-work-all-year cycling community.

Portland, Ore., was named the greenest city in America. Savannah, Ga., came in second.
