Police Ask For Public's Help To ID Armed Robber

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Police are asking for the public's help to identify an armed robber.

Officers responded to the CVS Pharmacy at 3655 Central Ave. NE on a robbery of a business call. Upon arrival, officers learned that a man entered the building, asked for assistance in locating an item and then displayed a large knife and demanded money.

The man then fled the scene in a mid-1990s black Ford Ranger pickup with an extended cab, with a small white dog inside (possibly a pit bull or terrier). He's described as a white man, 40 to 50 years old, 6-feet-tall with a medium build. He had black and gray hair and was unshaven.

He was last seen wearing a black wool cap, gray hooded sweatshirt with a small Nike logo on the front and baggy blue jeans.

Police are investigating the case and are asking anyone who can identify the suspect or who may have additional information to call Sgt. Jeffrey Harvey of the Minneapolis Police Department's Robbery Unit at (612) 673-3648.
