Ridnour Out, Barea Returns For Timberwolves

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- One point guard returns just as another leaves for the Minnesota Timberwolves.

J.J. Barea was in the starting lineup Wednesday night against the Golden State Warriors after missing the previous six games because of a bruised right quadriceps muscle. His return couldn't have come at a better time for the banged-up Wolves, who lost point guard Luke Ridnour to a badly sprained right ankle Monday night.

Coach Rick Adelman says he thinks Ridnour could miss at least a week with the injury. The Timberwolves are already down starting point guard Ricky Rubio, who tore his ACL on March 9.

The Timberwolves also played without forward Michael Beasley for the fifth straight game because of a strained big toe on his left foot.
