Woman Hanging From Window Rescued From Fire
ST. PAUL (WCCO) -- A St. Paul woman was recovering from a frightening experience in St. Paul overnight.
The woman was on the third floor of a house in the 800 block of Portland Avenue at about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday when it caught fire.
When firefighters arrived, they saw her hanging out of a third-floor window with lots of smoke billowing behind her.
Firefighters had the fire knocked out not long afterward.
Authorities said the fire started on the third floor deck at the back of the house, but investigators still don't know exactly how it started.
