Charges: Minneapolis Man Led Large Marijuana Operation

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 47-year-old Minneapolis man is accused of running a marijuana operation out of a Minneapolis home, according to charges filed Friday in Hennepin County Court.

David James Tallman was charged with third-degree possession of a controlled substance in connection with the case.

According to a complaint, Minneapolis Police were monitoring a suspected marijuana operation on the 600 block of Adams Street. Police executed a search warrant on a residence at 10 a.m. Wednesday, where they discovered a large and sophisticated marijuana growing operation.

Police seized the plants in the operation, which all tested positive for marijuana. Authorities said there was about 40 pounds worth of marijuana.

One person was arrested in the case, but Tallman is not currently in custody.

He faces up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine if convicted.
