MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The image of six burning recreational vehicles greeted firefighters Friday morning outside a Cottage Grove storage facility, authorities say.

Police say a call came in at around 5:30 a.m. saying that vehicles outside an Acorn Mini Storage facility, located on the 8000 block of West Point Douglas Road South, had caught fire.

Firefighters battled the flames, and when they were knocked down, crews determined that six recreational vehicles (aka RVs) and a few smaller cars had sustained damage. The storage facility did not burn.

The fire injured no one. However, authorities say they aren’t sure how it started.

The fire marshal is investigating.
