SD Woman Credits Dog With Saving Husband's Life

SISSETON, S.D. (AP) — A South Dakota woman is crediting her dog with saving the life of her rancher husband.

Connie Piotter tells KFGO radio that her husband Marvin was doing chores with their dog Buddy when one of the cows attacked him.

Connie says the dog held the cow at bay until Marvin could crawl to safety. Marvin suffered several bruised and broken bones and is recovering at home.

Connie says she's convinced her husband wouldn't be alive without Buddy's bravery.

She says Buddy will be "queen for the rest of her life."
