DNR Will Auction Confiscated Equipment

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources plans to auction a collection of hunting and fishing equipment it confiscated for serious game violations.

The DNR says the sale involves hundreds of items, including guns, bows, fishing rods and reels, spears, tree stands and ice augers. The agency will hold the sale at Hiller Auction Service in Zimmerman on Saturday, April 28.

The DNR says more than 300 guns will be sold. Anyone purchasing a firearm will have to pass a background check. All equipment is being sold as is and cannot be returned.

The equipment can be inspected the day before, April 27, and at 8 a.m. on auction day. Photos of the items are on the website www.hillerauction.com.
