ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Telegenic former presidential candidate Herman Cain is headlining an annual tax rally at Minnesota’s Capitol.
The Taxpayers League of Minnesota announced Monday that Cain will be the featured speaker at the April 28 gathering, which typically draws thousands of people in a public push for lower taxes.
Cain, an Atlanta businessman and radio show host, dropped out of the presidential race in December amid allegations of sexual improprieties, which he denied. He was faring well in public opinion polls at the time.
As a candidate, Cain was best known for his “9-9-9″ tax plan to overhaul the U.S. tax code.
