MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A man who died after crashing into a tree on an ATV has been identified.

The driver appeared to be heading west on Schuman Lake Road early Sunday morning when he lost control on a curve, slid across a dirt road and struck a tree. He was treated on scene and then transported to North Memorial Hospital.

Police say the man, identified as 19-year-old Daniel Nierenhausen of Avon, Minn. died en route to the hospital.
