Police: Group Jumps St. Cloud Man, Stabs His Shoulder

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A group attacked a St. Cloud man early Friday morning, sending him to the hospital with a stab wound, authorities say.

The St. Cloud Police Department said it learned of the stabbing just before 4:30 a.m. Police met the 26-year-old victim at St. Cloud Hospital, where he was recovering from his injuries.

The victim told police he was walking to an after-bar party on the 600 block of 3rd Street South when a group of men jumped him from behind and stabbed him in the back of his left shoulder. Police said the injury was non-life threatening.

The victim described his attackers as a group of two to six men. He said they were in their early 20s, 5-feet, 5-inches tall to 6-feet tall, and either of slender or medium builds.
