MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — It was all about the strong wind , and we finally received some much needed rain Friday.

We will catch a break from the showers Saturday and even spend some time in the sun. That will allow our temps to warm to 70 or beyond for the first time in 12 days.

Expect the rain to return late with the possibility of some overnight thunderstorms.

Sunday will be cooler because of the clouds and showers that will be possible throughout the day.

Here comes the bad news.

Much colder air will slide in behind this system. It may arrive soon enough to change our cold rain to wet snow early Monday morning.

Do you need shovels? Should you get the snow blower ready? No.

There may be a light coating over the Arrowhead, but we may not even see the flakes in the metro.
