Police Seek Help In Rochester Homicide Investigation

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police in Rochester are asking the public's help in figuring out how a 47-year-old man died Sunday.

Police said they found David Alan Biester, of Rochester, a little after 9 p.m. Cpt. Brian Winters said a 50-year-old motorcyclist initially found Biester after he parked his bike in a parking lot on the 2100 block of 9th Street Northeast.

The motorcyclist told police he saw a car leaving the parking lot before he found Biester. Authorities described the car as a dark (possibly red) passenger car with brighter than normal headlights. It is believed to have Minnesota license plates.

Winters said head trauma likely played a factor in Biester's death. Biester was last seen leaving his home at 3 p.m. Sunday.

If you have any information on Biester's death, call police at 507-328-6800.
